Abstract :
In this paper, direction switching of the vortex output for a pump power in a diode-pumped Nd doped YVO4 bounce amplifier is addressed for the first time. The wavefront of the vortex output by utilizing interferograms formed between the output and a spherical reference beam is also investigated. This experiment showed that the rotational direction of the vortex output is controllable without any modification of the cavity by merely changing the pump power, though a complete characterization would require further experiments.
