Abstract
The set of achievable rates and the optimum power allocation and accessing schemes are found for fading multiple-access channels with partial channel state information available to the transmitters. The achievable rates are characterised using the underlying polymatroidal structure. Two attractive feedback schemes significantly reducing the required feedback rates are analysed from a maximum sum rate point of view.
