Abstract :
The manufacturers in the chemical industry are committed to minimize any health, safety and environmental risks which may be related to their products and, at the same time, to meet the needs of their customers and the public for safely usable and environmentally sustainable products. In the framework of their commitment for continuous progress in these matter within the RESPONSIBLE CARE programme the concept of PRODUCT STEWARDSHIP has become an important building block towards sustainable development. Product responsibility for SF6 is materialized in a large number of practical precautions which Solvay Fluor und Derivate has developed and implemented in collaboration with, but always for, the users of SF6
