Abstract :
The authors report the successful deployment of such a fiber-laser-based cw green source as pump for a high power, single-frequency, cw Ti:sapphire ring laser, with active frequency stabilization. The schematic of the experimental setup is shown, where a Yb fiber laser green source based on MgO:sPPLT is used a pump a Ti:sapphire ring laser. A 10-mm-long, Brewster-cut Ti:sapphire crystal (0.15 wt.% doping, FOM>;270) is chosen as a gain medium for the Ti:Sapphire laser. The total length of the cavity is 109 cm (FSR-275 MHz).
