  • Abstract
    In order to calculate winding temperature of dry-type transformer in accurate way, it is necessary to base on the theory of heat transfer and the theory of hydrodynamics and carry out simulation computation on winding temperature distribution of dry-type transformer by means of FLUENT software. We take the winding temperature of 3 dry-type transformers with different capacity as an illustration. Through comparison between High and low voltage winding temperature, the calculation and test results show that all errors range from -4K to 0K. This calculation method can accurately compute winding temperature and its distribution location and provide the basis for design, research and development and operational maintenance of similar products.
