Abstract :
A method and the architecture of cost evaluation in concurrent product design were proposed in the paper. Combined with the 863/CIMS Key Application Project-Concurrent Engineering (CE) of railway rolling products in QQHR Railway Rolling Stocks Co. Ltd. (QRRS), we developed a price quotation system of railway rolling products. This system has been applied in the QRRS and performs better, in terms of quickness and accuracy, than old system. Application has proven that this method is practical and effective
