Abstract :
The PEA (pulsed electro-acoustic) and PWP (pressure wave propagation) methods are widely used effective techniques for measurement of space charge distribution in dielectric materials. Since these techniques are using pressure waves as a detecting signal, however, it is inevitable to be affected by an attenuation effect of pressure wave propagation especially when the space charge distribution in a thick sample is measured using these techniques. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a recovery technique of attenuation effect when we would like to measure the space charge distribution in thick insulating materials such as power cable. In this report we are attempting to make a simple data processing technique using a simple model. The improved technique makes the data processing time shorter. Typical recovered data obtained using improved technique will be introduced
