Abstract :
Specially the housing industry is suitable to identify essential requirements and success factors on smart home solutions. Here the innovation-inhibiting investor-benefits-dilemma is clear. Major investments in smart home solutions provide benefits to the users (tenants), but without a secured, direct medium-term funding to the property owner (landlord). The following article shows integrated communication concepts and infrastructure-use which are suitable to dissolve barriers and for the first time, to create a situation where the investor as well as the users get´s benefits by investing.
