Abstract
The advantages and disadvantages of different neutral grounding modes in distribution network were analyzed, according to some research results. A suitable mode for neutral grounding of cable networks is obtained, which is the neutral grounding via Peterson coil. The characters of two kinds of Peterson coils presetting mode and following-setting mode were discussed. Then the selection method of the Peterson coil is given, and the trend in the development of the neutral grounding technology is proposed. To some extent, it can be used for reference to make the selection of Neutral Grounding modes, selection Peterson coil in power companies, researches in this field and so on.
