Abstract :
A new adaptive-feedback error-correction scheme for convolutional codes is presented. Similar to standard hybrid ARQ schemes the new approach is packet oriented. However, as the main innovation of this paper we propose to transmit incremental redundancy only for particular unreliable code sequence segments. Such segments can be determined using a modified Viterbi algorithm.
