Abstract
Shear mode piezo transducers can be configured into high bandwidth shakers as well as highly sensitive force sensors. Being able to deliver good stroke/charge levels yet being compact makes them an excellent choice for Head Gymbal Assembly (HGA) dynamic testing. Here we will investigate some design and performance aspects of such devices.
