Abstract
In terms of a tight-binding Hamiltonian for a short poly(G)-poly(C) DNA molecular wire, we calculated the time-dependent current through the wire. The effects of the hybridization of the overlap π orbits in the base-pair stack coupled to the backbone is considered. The response of the wire to the AC bias voltage is also calculated.
