Abstract :
A simulation software has been developed for an alternative energy system utilising solar generated hydrogen and biogas as well, which are converted in a fuel-cell. The ability of the simulation was proved for heat and electricity driven control modes of he fuel-cell. Detailed data and information are given for the parameters of the individual components of the system. A cost estimate for both investment and operation cost are given as well. Simulation was carried out for the integration of the energy system into a small office building. The simulation indicated reasonable results which proved the feasibility of the preliminary design of such systems.
