            Abstract :
In order to analyze the amplification phenomenon of harmonic currents by the traction network in an electric railway, this paper established a simplified model for traction network using T-type distributed model. Further more the conductors of the traction network were represented by a delicate multi-port model which has been reduced in ends. This model is an improvement for analyzing conductor complex compared with two-port network model. The simulation results of the resonance frequency and the amplification of harmonic currents was given by EMTP-ATP, which verified that the proposed model was an accurate and effective way for analyzing the harmonics in traction network.
