Abstract
This article describes the use of a service-oriented architecture to bridge the gap between different environments in the context of game-based learning. This is verified by a combination of face-to-face scenarios with online tools and virtual worlds. Results of a prototypical evaluation are stated to verify the validity of the approach. Furthermore, the applications and possible extensions of the developed system are discussed.
