Abstract
To improve confocal microwave imaging (CMI) quality for breast cancer detection, data independent methods such as the delay-and-sum (DAS) and the microwave imaging via space-time (MIST) beamforming were used, and data dependent methods such as amplitude and phase estimation (APES), and robust capon beamforming (RCB) were used after data acquisition processing. Main drawback of data-dependant methods is instability as filter length is increased. Our proposed method suppresses the instability and improves higher resolution with acceptable amplitude estimation than APES method to get high quality of CMI imaging for breast cancer detection.
