  • Abstract
    The authors report the first demonstration a cw SRO based on MgO:sPPLT pumped at 1064 nm. The SRO is configured in a standard four mirror ring cavity, as in our previous experiments. The pump source is a Yb fiber laser delivering up to 30W of single-frequency output at 1064 nm(Δλ=89 KHz) in linearly polarized beam with m <;1.01. The beam is focused to a waist radius w0~48 μm (ξ~l) at the centre of a 30-mm MgO:sPPLT crystal containing six uniform grating periods from 29.33 to 30.65 μm. The crystal is housed in an oven that can be temperature tuned from room temperature to 200 °C. The total length of the cavity is 574 mm (FSR-522 MHz).
