Abstract :
In this work the study of the optical properties and the high resolution electron microscope (HREM) lattice images was performed on the Ge/sub 2/Sb/sub 2/Te/sub 5/ phase change optical discs. In the as-deposited recording layer, the dominant amorphous states coexisted with some nanocrystals.
