Abstract :
An evaluation model for solid insulation of a power transformer is developed in this paper. The aging condition is identified . Having divided it into the normal aging and the abnormal aging, fuzzy theory is applied to assess the degree of aging and whether it is normal aging or abnormal aging. The results show that this model is effective for recognizing the status of solid insulation, and its result will be helpful to the prediction of residual life
