Abstract :
A new severity measurement system for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) classification has been proposed in this paper. This system was based on the segmentation of RR interval (R wave to R wave interval on ECG signal) sequence followed by baseline construction for different categories of patients with various severities. A novel automatic segmentation algorithm based on K-S test was developed in this system. The performance of the severity system was evaluated using a cohort of patients and the results showed that this proposed severity measurement system was effective to discriminate the OSA and non-OSA.
