  • Abstract
    In this paper we extend the overlay cognitive radio model by introducing multiple secondaries. The new model allows for multiple concurrent transmissions in a wireless network. We apply the proposed scheme for the communication between nodes in a wireless mesh network. Numerical results show that considerable capacity gains are achieved when using the proposed overlay cognitive radio model with multiple secondaries.
