  • Abstract
    In order to solve the wear numerical simulation problem of cylindrical roller bearing, a software is developed by the use of Visual Basic programming language in this paper. Based on dynamic theory of roller bearing and by the method for wear numerical simulation of components, considering variable real-time contact force and rotational velocity of roller bearing, the software is explored to realize wear lifetime prediction and wear condition monitoring of cylindrical roller bearing by setting various limits. For illustration, an example is utilized to show the feasibility of the software in solving the wear numerical simulation problem of cylindrical roller bearing. Results show the numerical method is effective to simulate the complex wear process of cylindrical roller bearing by establishing a series of discrete quasi-static models. The software applied to any type of cylindrical roller bearings is of generality and flexibility.
