Abstract
Based on analysis and simulations, it is found that extremely high inertia forces will be generated in stamping machine when stroke speed falls in range for ultra high speed stamping machine if a regular crank-slider mechanism is used. This paper presents a design method to lower the inertia forces by using balancing structure. The effectiveness of the proposed structure is validated through simulations. An analytical method to evaluate performance of balancing structure is also presented. This work paves the way to develop ultra high speed stamping machine.
