Abstract :
In this paper, behavior of composite lattice cylinders under compressive axial load has been studied. The lattice structures are composed of helical and hoop ribs, whose cross section are rectangular. Using the filament winding method is due to automatic manufacturing and the less expensive of existing processes and also the carbon-epoxy composites is preferred because of its high specific strength. Finally, parametric studies have been provided on designing variables such as rib dimension and winding angle to achieve the optimum condition.
