Abstract :
The initiative anti-islanding protection is used extensively because of the capacity of decreasing or removing Non-detection zone and no additional cost for MPU in converter interface. But the essence of initiative anti-islanding protection is injecting disturbance into the system. When the distributed generation interconnects to the utility, the initiative anti-islanding protection would affect the power quality and decrease the stability margin. This essay researches the influence of the initiative anti-islanding protection in high penetration rating of distributed generation. By theoretical researching and emulation verifying, the conclusion is obtained that the initiative anti-islanding protection would adversely affect the power system in high penetration rating. It would decrease the stability margin of power system and reduce the power quality.
