Abstract
In this paper an investigation of methods for computation of co-channel interference statistics in handover algorithm analysis is presented. In a cellular system with cross-correlated log-normal shadowings, Wilkinson´s method and Schwartz and Yeh´s (1982) method are extended for evaluating the statistical parameters of the processes involved in a relative signal strength handover algorithm. Results provided by both methods are compared with simulation results in order to deal with their accuracy. Finally, computational issues are also addressed
