Abstract
Using Wiener filters for pilot symbol aided channel estimation, and MMSE interference suppression filters, single user decoding as well as successive interference cancellation (SIC) for multiuser detection of QPSK data symbols, the SIR at the MMSE filter outputs is given for DS-CDMA systems with random spreading sequences in the asymptotic regime accounting for the exact covariance matrix of the channel estimation errors. Based on this, equivalent results for BPSK signaling applying widely linear (WL) MMSE interference suppression filters, single user decoding and SIC are solved.
