Abstract
In this paper we present a multi-agent system for patient and staff scheduling in ambulatory health care environments. The problem to solve is two-fold: first the right amount of resources at the right time should be available for patient scheduling, and then enough medical staff should be available. In order to solve both problems, we use time series analysis that is used when agents negotiate for patient scheduling and staff allocation. Finally, we present a simulation system for health care centre scheduling problem simulation. Simple compositions of primary care units, specialized departments and different patient flow combinations can be simulated, where waiting times are optimized using proposed multi-agent system.
