Abstract :
High availability (HA) cluster systems that support more than a dozen nodes were only discussed in recent years. The new industry trend for server consolidation also drives the research for an integral, scalable, high availability and high manageability cluster system. We present our high availability design in the Dawning Server Consolidation system, including the main architecture as well as the design issues in load balance, dynamic configuration, state consistency, error detection, cluster resource management, dependable communication etc.
