Abstract :
Observation of higher-order optical nonlinearities in photopolymerizable semiconductor CdSe quantum dot-polymer nanocomposites is reported. Z-scan and degenerate multiwave mixing (DMWM) measurements were performed to obtain effective nonlinear optical susceptablilities of the film at a wavelength of 532nm for various concentrations of CdSe QDs. Aqueous synthetic method of fabricating CdSe QDs followed by the extraction of CdSe QDs into an ionic liquid for the uniform dispersion of CdSe QDs in polymerizable monomers is performed.
