Data Driven DSS in telecommunications industry

Data Driven DSS is one of the five types of decision support systems that can be more powerful in telecommunications industry especially data warehousing for handling the massive amounts of data DSSs assist telecommunications companies in achieving a competitive advantage and higher profits. The theme of this paper is to focus on the decision support system in telecommunications companies and why they need advanced data warehouse platforms and new technology. This paper includes the following sections: tradition data warehouse, advanced data warehouse platforms, new data warehouse platforms in telecommunications companies, Oracle Exadata, and decision support systems in telecom industry.
