Abstract :
Recent changes in business environment call for thorough studying of communication and knowledge in corporate R&D activity. The paper defines knowledge (corporate R&D) networks and describes them as complex systems. Agent-based modeling is offered as a tool for studying these knowledge networks. A choice of transactive memory theory for defining the rules of agents´ interactions is justified.
