Abstract :
Proposes an approach which combines the ambiguity function, the wavelet packet transform, and the Radon transform to detect a weak linear frequency modulated (LFM) signal in a noisy environment. The input signal to be analysed is modeled by a linear sum of two (may be extended to more than two) LFM signals in which the weaker of the two LFM signals is to be detected. LFM signals are frequently encountered in radar problems.
