Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a preamble pattern for upstream cable modem and develop the synchronization and channel equalization schemes suitable for the proposed preamble pattern. The proposed preamble consists of the concatenation of the oversample constant amplitude zero autocorrelation code (CAZAC) sequences of length 32. Not only provides relatively good frame detection performance due to the good auto correlation properties of CAZAC sequence, the proposed preamble pattern can be easily employed in initial automatic frequency control due to the repeated structure.
