Abstract :
A new optical method of sub-cooled water recognition in dew point hygrometer is presented. The physical phenomenon of sub-cooled water and its influence on the hygrometer accuracy is described. A hypothesis relating scattering of light by water and ice layers is proposed. A new type of dew point hygrometer based on the silicone mirror with the embedded capacitive detector and multi-section optical detector is presented. Measurement data obtained from the experimental hygrometer are provided
