Abstract
We have investigated a technique involving lossy coupled transmission line theory by which to reduce electromagnetic interference caused by above-ground transmission lines. We have found that the reduction characteristics of EMI agreed well with that provided when a resistive film sheet was used instead of a juxtaposition conductor line. This report describes that both mechanisms produced the same product by a subsequent experiment measuring current distribution on resistive film sheet and measuring attenuation effect when contact method is changed. Furthermore, we experimentally examined a technique by which to wind a resistive film sheet around a cylinder and realized a large reduction effect.
