Abstract :
With the development of the civil aviation, airport industrial clusters are in plan for constructions in many cities. The paper analyzes the economic effect of the clusters using thirty airports´ panel data. It finds that clusters and the economy are complementary and there are positive relationships between them. Higher degree of clusters can benefit for the economy development. By the error-correction model, the study tests the Granger causality relations between the clusters and the economy. It shows that they are interrelated. Airport industrial clusters can improve the economy and the economic development can increase the clusters.
