Abstract :
A novel high-power fiber-pumped Er-Yb:glass quasi-monolithic microlaser operating in single-frequency at 1.5 μm has been developed. Due to the high performance in terms of available cw output power and to wavelength tunability, these lasers are attractive sources for a large number of applications and, in particular, for optical communications in the 1530-1570 nm wavelength region
