Abstract :
An interference cancellation scheme is proposed to suppress interference at the horizon and azimuthally through 360°. The scheme adopts the symmetry characteristic of a uniform circular array (UCA) and the power minimization (PM) technique for interference nulling. An N-1 elements UCA with a central element antenna is considered, and only two processing channels are used for PM processing. The performance of the proposed scheme is studied in terms of nulling depth in the spatial domain and cancellation ratio in statistical computations. The scheme is also compared to a conventional N-channel design employed with the same N-array antenna and the PM technique.
