Abstract
This paper presents a novel framework based on a subspace technique and a pseudo-interference technique to estimate the signature vector and the interference covariance matrix for the code division multiple access (CDMA) receiver to provide robustness against the signature vector mismatch. With an expression of the output signal-to-interference-plus-noise-ratio (SINR) of the receiver, a closed-form solution to the proposed optimization problem is applied to attain superior performance. Two examples are studied, and both of the results show that the proposed approach outperforms the previous techniques when the input signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is large.
