Abstract :
This paper studies the key technology of the license plate recognition system, including the image pre-processing, license plate location, etc. Through the thorough research on license plate characteristics and positioning technology, the method of the license plate localization is put forward based on the texture characteristics and vertical projection, which can very accurately find the license plate area.
