Abstract :
Because of fabrication simplicity, design robustness, and planar form factor, a microstrip reflect array provides an attractive alternative to the common parabolic reflector. This paper discusses the design and analysis of a reflect array utilizing a stub loaded microstrip element as shown. The analytical technique discussed not only provides a theoretical framework for the design of microstrip reflect arrays in general, but also permits the prediction of reflect array performance over extended bandwidths.
