Abstract :
With the theory support of "the first law of geography" the spatial variance of the land use landscape in Haidian District of Beijing is analyzed with the geostatistic tool and grid sampling method. The spatial organization and mechanism of urbanization can be well understood by the reveal of spatial characteristics of artificial impact and ecological effect. The results show that: (1) the characteristic of spatial variance can be well described with the GIS-based geostatistic method. The spatial correlation characteristic has been shown clearly in the indices, especially for human impact index, which has stronger spatial organization. (2) the spatial correlation of two indices are strongly dependent at this study scale. And the spatial variance is mainly produced by the structure factors, namely regional factors such as hydrology, soil and light etc.
