Abstract :
Development of the simulation system of a 3-D microwave airborne radar is discussed. A complete software package was developed for the HP 8770S signal simulator environment in order to simulate the 3-D radar measurement situation, including the radar signal generation, reception and target backscatter. With this simulation system the radar´s processor can be tested in laboratory conditions. Construction of the laboratory version of the 3-D radar is briefly described.
