Abstract :
This research article contains two new voltage-mode third order asymmetric band pass filter structures using single operational transresistance amplifier (OTRA) and passive components. One structure shows 20dB/dec roll-off below central frequency (f0) and 40dB/dec above f0, where as the other structure shows complementary response i.e. 40dB/dec roll-off below f0 and 20dB/dec above f0. Both the filters exhibit low sensitivity and central frequency (f0) can be adjusted by changing the frequency scaling factor. The proposed topology may be used for the implementation of sixth order symmetrical band pass filter. The structure is simulated with 0.5μm CMOS process parameters provided by MOSIS (AGILENT). The PSPICE simulation results confirm the theory.
