Abstract
New optical methods are presented to generate millimeter wave signals with high frequency stability. One of the new methods applies optical superharmonic injection locking by mixing the beams of two lasers, and a phase locking technique to stabilize the off-set frequency of the lasers. An alternate new method utilizes a single intensity modulated laser and microwave superharmonic injection locking techniques. The new arrangements offer many advantages in practical applications.
