Abstract :
In this paper, we propose two new quasi-orthogonal space-time block codes (QOSTBCs) with three time slots for two transmit antennas. We also derive corresponding decoders for each of the proposed codes. While one decoder fecilitates joint detection, other one allows symbol-wise detection with additional pre-processing. One code provides better bit error rate (BER) performance than one of the existing QOSTBCs with three time slots and two transmit antennas. The other code requires lesser power and performs neary same as one of the existing QOSTBCs with three time-slots and two transmit antennas.
