Abstract :
This study provides the results of the fact-finding surveys on the contemporary enlightenment, positive psychological and motivation effects of discourses in college classes. The study compares the contents and positive psychological effects of discourses in the classes of the author with those in the other classes in the same Waseda university. By analyzing them, the study proposes that the discourses lead to not only motivation effects but also illuminative effects and the changes in mental state especially when including frequent reference to senses of values, such as ways of living.
