Abstract
Recently completed computations of the field profiles existing within various microwave open resonator configurations are described for the following situations - perfectly aligned planar and spherical mirrors; misaligned spherical mirrors; imperfectly shaped spherical mirrors. The approach used, involves the sequential projecting of the field profile existing at one mirror on to the other until a steady state profile is obtained. The relative merits of two calculational methods are discussed. Results are presented for the various configurations.
