Abstract :
In this paper, a framework for expressway traffic control system is designed, and in order to meet the specific requirements of expressway traffic control system for traffic state parameters, a model-based estimation method for dynamic traffic state parameter is proposed, and the effectiveness of the method is examined by the actual field data. The results show that, the proposed estimation method can response to the dynamic evolution of traffic state in time, and the error rate between the estimated traffic state parameter data and the actual data is 12% ~ 13%.
